Dr. John M Pagán is a surgeon specializing in plastic and reconstructive surgery. He received a Bachelor’s Degree Cum Laude from Harvard University. At Harvard, Dr. Pagán received the Harvard College Scholarship for Recognition of Academic Achievement of High Distinction. He studied sculpture and drawing at the School of Plastic Arts of the Institute of Puerto Rican Culture.
Dr. Pagán received a Doctor of Medicine Degree from the School of Medicine of the University of Puerto Rico, where he was awarded the Certificate of Merit for Academic Execution and Leadership, and was elected member of the prestigious Alpha Omega Alpha Honor Society.
He completed his residency and was Chief of Residents in the General Surgery Program at Boston University and specialized in Plastic Surgery at Medical College of Virginia, where he received the Theogaraj Scholarship Award. Later he specialized in Pediatric and Maxillofacial Plastic Surgery at Akron Children’s Hospital in Ohio.
Dr. Pagán is certified by the Medical Discipline Board of Puerto Rico as a Plastic Surgeon and is a Diplomate from the American Board of Plastic Surgery. Currently, he is active practicing plastic surgery for adults and children. He has a special interest in body contouring surgery, both cosmetic and post-bariatric, cosmetic breast surgery, ear surgery, facial rejuvenation surgery, lip and palate reconstruction and other congenital deformities, and skin cancer reconstruction.
